The daughter of actor and music director Vijay Antony allegedly died by suicide on Tuesday. Reportedly, she was discovered dead at her residence in Chennai.
The class 12 student reportedly took the drastic action as she was under stress. It is said that when her father entered the bedroom at around three in the morning, he discovered her hanging soon after she had reportedly hung herself from the fan’s hook using her dupatta.
In Chennai, the 16-year-old studied in a private school. According to sources, Meera was taken to Chennai’s Kaveri Hospital by Vijay with the assistance of his house staff, where doctors who examined her declared her dead.
Manobala Vijayabalan, a film industry analyst, confirmed the news of her death. Manobala Vijayabalan posted on Twitter, ” “BREAKING: Actor and music director Vijay Antony’s daughter Meera has committed suicide… at her home this morning. SHOCKING! RIP Meera.”
Meera’s claimed suicide is the subject of inquiries into her family, Vijay Antony, and her schoolmates.
In response to a previous tweet by Meera’s mother, film industry analyst Ramesh Bala said, “In March of this year, Mrs. Fatima Vijay Antony was so happy that her daughter Meera Vijay Antony became the cultural secretary of her school students association. We all congratulated her on Twitter. She was the world to her parents. Can’t imagine the pain.”
