The director and producer SS Rajamouli is preparing to unveil another enormous project after producing some of the most epic and successful films, like RRR and Bahubali 1 and 2. Rajamouli is attempting to make a film that tells the history of Indian cinema.
The ‘Father of Indian Cinema’ biography, which will be directed by Nitin Kakkar and produced by Varun Gupta and Rajamouli’s son S.S. Karthikeya, promises to trace the development of Indian cinema from its inception to its current status. On Tuesday, Rajamouli shared this big news with a teaser of the upcoming project.
Rajamouli shared the announcement teaser on X and commented, “When I first heard the narration, it moved me emotionally like nothing else. Making a biopic is tough in itself, but conceiving one about the Father of Indian Cinema is even more challenging. Our boys are ready and up for it…:) With immense pride, Presenting MADE IN INDIA…”
Karthikeya expressed his enthusiasm for his position as a producer on social media, and wrote “, It’s been years since I wanted to fulfill my dream of becoming a producer. The moment has come. MADE IN INDIA… With utmost responsibility, taking this up is a challenge. Cheers to my producing partner, @VarunG0707, and the director @nitinrkakkar.”
Dadasaheb Phalke, referred to as the ‘Father of Indian Cinema’,created the first-ever full-length feature film titled Raja Harishchandra in 1913, marking the beginning of the 20th century for Indian cinema. Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Gujarati, and Bhojpuri are just a few of the many languages that are represented in Indian cinema.
