A voice behind the Chandrayaan-3 launch countdown passes away

Valarmathi, an Indian Space Research Organisation (Isro) scientist who provided her voice on rocket launch countdowns in Sriharikota, died of cardiac arrest shortly after the successful launch of India’s third lunar mission, Chandrayaan-3.

July 14 launch of Chandrayaan-3, During the launch, she performed her last countdown.

Only the fourth nation to do so, Chandrayaan-3’s Lander Module (LM), which included the Vikram lander and Pragyan rover, successfully touched down on the lunar surface on August 23.
