On Thursday in London, actress Sonam Kapoor attended the event hosted by UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. The 2023 UK-India Week is being hosted by Sunak.
Sonam represented India at the event wearing a patterned jacket and a flowery Rohit Bal saree. Rishi hosted the event at his official home and office at 10 Downing Street. “Representing in @rohitbalofficial for the reception at 10 Downing Street to celebrate UK India week.
What a beautiful day and so happy I got to wear a sari in the gorgeous London summer,” she wrote. UK-India The IGF’s signature event, Week 2023, is going to be held for the fifth time. This week-long programme aims to celebrate and fortify the two nations’ cooperation. At King Charles III’s coronation concert earlier in May, Sonam also gave a performance. Sonam’s performance during the coronation was an introduction to the amazing Commonwealth virtual choir performances, including choirs, solo singers, and duos from all 56 Commonwealth countries. She was presented as one of Bollywood’s top actors. In her presentation, the “Khoobsurat” performer emphasised the variety of the Commonwealth. She also discussed the thread that unites the nation’s diversity. The Commonwealth we live in is a union. We make up one-third of the world’s landmass, one-third of its seas, and one-third of its population together. We chose to stand together despite the fact that our nations are distinct and each of our people is unique. Sonam Kapoor stated in her address that she was “learning from our history, blessed by our diversity, driven by our values, and determined to build a more peaceful, sustainable, and prosperous place where every voice is heard.”
