Tuesday night saw the passing of renowned actor Satinder Kumar Khosla, better known by his stage name Birbal. According to ANI, he passed away in Kokilaben Hospital. The actor was in his 80s.
The information was confirmed by his friend Jugnu. Khosla passed away due to cardiac arrest. On Wednesday, his last rites will be carried out.
The Cine & TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA) official X handle expressed its sincere condolences. A post said, “CINTAA expresses its condolences on the demise of Birbal (Member since 1981).”
Along with Upkar, Roti Kapda Aur Makaan, and Kranti, he collaborated on other Manoj Kumar movies. However, what made him popular was his portrayal of a prisoner in the movie Sholay. He became popular with his comic roles in Naseeb, Yaarana, Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke, Anjaam, and many others.
