‘Tarla Dalal’ featuring Huma Qureshi, Sharib Hashimi and Purnendu Bhattacharya dropped today on Zee5 and is being loved by the audience. The movie is simple, goes on in a flat sequence and has just the right narration.
The movie starts with Tarla’s (Huma Qureshi) parents wanting her to marry, she doesn’t rebel, but conveys it to her parents that she wants to do something in her life, she doesn’t know what it is yet, but she just wants to find it out. The parents are shown to be conservative, so she ends up marrying Nalin Dalal. She’s very happy with her marriage, having three kids and a supportive husband, but again she keeps telling her husband that she wants to do something in her life, but she doesn’t know what. The story progresses as she meets the right people, confronts difficult situations in her life, but ends up becoming a world-wide famous chef. A major part in the movie is of her husband, Nalin Dalal, who supports her in every decision of her life.
The direction of the movie is excellent and there isn’t any unnecessary drama. The dialogues are well written and the last part of the movie is probably going to make you cry. Although there wasn’t much about Tarla Dalal’s recipes, which was what she was famous for, the film majorly focuses on her personal life. Huma Qureshi’s acting in the movie surely is praiseworthy and the work done by the rest of the cast is excellent.
Talking about the movie as a whole, the open-mindedness shown in it is laudable as there are still many households who just expect the woman of the house to stay at home and do not let them work and fulfill their dreams. The courage to work hard for your dreams is well presented. Hence, it surely is a must-watch!
