After getting married in November 2015 and enjoying seven years of a happy marriage, “Modern Family” star Sofia Vergara has announced her separation from Joe Manganiello, breaking fans’ hearts.

“As two people who love and care for one another very much, we kindly ask for the respect of our privacy at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives,” the couple said in an emotional statement.
Joe Manganiello, the actor in Magic Mike, is reportedly working with well-known divorce attorney Laura Wasser, who has also represented stars like Kim Kardashian and Angelina Jolie in their individual divorce proceedings.

It has now come to light that Manganiello filed the application in the LA County Superior Court, stating ‘irreconcilable differences as the reason for their separation. Joe said that the couple’s breakup took place on July 2 and that they haven’t been together since. According to reports, Joe and Sophia had a prenuptial agreement in place to safeguard the assets they earned throughout their marriage, including Sophia’s $180 million wealth, which is much more than her ex’s $40 million fortune.
Their divergent personalities and priorities, hidden under all the flash and beauty, were the root of discord. The main cause of Joe and Sofia’s divorce, according to TMZ claims, was the children. Sofia did not want children, but Joe Manganiello did.

As you might be aware, Sofia is already a mother to her son Manolo Gonzalez Vergara, who is 31 years old and whom she shares with her ex-husband, Joe Gonzalez. Manolo was born to her in her home in Colombia when she was only 19 years old. She was also involved in a protracted legal battle over custody of two frozen embryos from her 2013 IVF procedures with her then-fiancé Nick Loeb, who planned to carry them to term. Regardless, on March 21 the judge made a favorable decision for the actress. It appears that the incident changed her perspective on having additional children.
