Akelli, a film starring Nusharrat Bharuccha centres around the life of an Indian girl stuck in a war zone and her life’s goal at that time is to escape safely from what seems to be an Islamic terrorist state. There are men with guns outside and scared women in hijab encaptured by those men.
The movie is directed by Pranay Meshram and when asked about his experience shooting the film, he stated, “We all to have been working non-stop for this day, and it’s finally here, the teaser is out. Our film is an ode to all the strong women out there who are braving it all alone for the love and safety of their families. The story is close to our hearts, and I’m sure the audience will relate to it.”
Nusharrat also shared her feelings about the character she played and the overall experience, stating, “Akelli has been an overwhelming experience altogether and far from any role I have played till now. It was emotionally draining for me to portray a character like this, and it makes you think of all the challenges that someone so young must have to go through to provide for their loved ones. I am hoping the audience will be able to connect with my character’s journey and will hopefully like it.”
This Dashami Studioz movie is directed by Pranay Meshram, produced by Nitin Vaidya, Ninad Vaidya, Aparna Padgaonkar, Shashank Shah and Vicky Sidana and is set to release on 18th August, 2023.
