Suzanne Somers, a star of the 1970s TV sitcom ‘Three’s Company’,passes away due to breast cancer.

Suzanne Somers, the star of ‘Three’s Company,’ passed away on Sunday, just before her 77th birthday.

According to a statement made by Somers’ family’s publicist R. Couri Hay, the actress had been battling an aggressive form of breast cancer for more than 23 years.

He claimed that Somers died peacefully at home, surrounded by her loved ones.

“Her family was gathered to celebrate her 77th birthday on October 16th,” Hay said in the statement. “Instead, they will celebrate her extraordinary life, and want to thank millions of fans and followers who loved her dearly.”

This week, there will be a private family funeral, and in November, there will be a memorial.

The actress’s death was announced less than three months after her 46-year-old husband disclosed that her breast cancer had returned. According to him, Somers was initially identified in her fifties after battling skin cancer in her thirties and hyperplasia in her twenties.
