Writer and director Tahira Kashyap never fails to show us her best work when it comes to stories. She has recently begun a new heart-touching series on her Instagram wherein she picks small yet deep stories from daily life with a tinge of humor and cheer.
Her recent reel is about her mother-in-law starting over again in her life after her father-in-law’s demise. It read, “At 73, what do I choose to see? Is it going to be loneliness? Is that my destiny? Have shifted bases and moved to a new city. In a world without my most loved one can I still breathe?” The reel touched hearts and was loved by many. It gained immense adoration wherein many, including Bhumi Pednekar commented, “this is beautiful (with a red heart)”. Neeti Mohan commented, “This is the most beautiful post ever. Kudos to aunt’s spirit and salute to a daughter-in-law like you,” amongst others.
Tahira went on adding, “‘Stories are something that are always brewing inside my mind. I love stories! So, I started with ‘Stories in my head.’ Whenever a story pops up in my head, I write it down. It’s very gratifying to know that people can relate to my stories.”
Although Tahira has posted only a few reels so far, all of them have gained immense admiration. Her prior reels cover topics like ‘Solo trip,’ ‘Food & Workout’ and ‘Nani.’ During lockdown, she had created ‘Lockdown Tales’, which apparently resembled her new IP (intellectual property), ‘Stories in my Head’. While working on her debut directorial, “Sharmajee ki beti”, and a couple of other untitled projects, Tahira continues to gain appreciation on her ‘Stories in my head’ series.
