‘Spiderman: Far From Home’ actor Zoha Rahman will star with Arjun Mathur, Rasika Dugal, and Paresh Pahuja in Anshuman Jha’s directorial debut, ‘Lord Curzon Ki Haveli.’ While the nature of her character is unknown, sources say she plays one of the five leads opposite Arjun Mathur in the film. The film, directed by Jha and scripted by Bikas Mishra, has begun filming in the United Kingdom this month.
“Anshuman was a delight to work with, and I will be forever grateful that he trusted me with one of his favourite characters and enabled me to make her my own,” Zoha said of the experience. His strength as a director comes from his acting experience, which puts us on the same page so he can get the best performance out of us; it’s because he thinks like an actor as well as a director!
She went on to explain, “My character was a lot of fun to play with, and her quiet strength was ultimately what drew me to this dark comedy. She’s insane, but she could be any everyday woman you encounter on the street; the tension between the two extremes was what made it so entertaining!”
According to Anshuman, “Having Zoha on board is a huge help, as we were stuck with one of the leads due to Visa concerns. The film is a black comedy thriller about South Asians in the United Kingdom, and she adds a cultural dimension to the storey that only enhances it. It’s a very worldwide subject, and I’m glad we’ve assembled a cast that reflects that.”
