The blockbuster film “Fukrey” completed a decade today, June 14th. Multi award-winning actor Richa Chadha celebrates this day as the film holds a special place in her heart. Not only did it provide her with one of the most iconic characters in her career but it also led her to meet her soulmate and life partner, Ali Fazal, on the film’s set. The couple captivated their fans by tying the knot in a grand ceremony last year.
“Fukrey,” (2013) and its sequel “Fukrey Returns”, (2017) were comedy-dramas directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba which won the hearts of the audience with their hilarious storyline and memorable characters. Richa Chadha’s unforgettable character, Bholi Punjaban, not only showcased her exceptional acting powers, but also became one of the most beloved characters in recent film history carving a new space for women in comedy in Hindi films, a space that is often overlooked.
Starting off as friendship in 2013 and growing into an epic love story, Richa says that the incredible journey made her meet her partner, Ali Fazal on the sets. Moreover, this movie also gave her one of the most iconic female comedy characters in modern day cinema.

The Fukrey team, after delivering Fukrey and Fukrey Returns, are now gearing up for the third sequel which is due to release on 1st December, 2023
