The Shah Rukh Khan-starring Pathaan recorded another whopping box office collection on the third day of its release. The movie reportedly crossed the Rs. 300 crore (gross) mark worldwide in its third day, but its earnings did witness a significant drop compared to the first two days. However, the film continued with its stellar performance. It is expected to earn even more over the weekend as well.
‘Pathaan’ box office collection Rs.35cr on its 3rd day
During the first Friday of Pathaan’s release, the film’s collection dropped. According to reports, the film’s Friday collections are estimated to have been between Rs. 35 crore and Rs. 36 crore. In spite of earning Rs. 57 crore and Rs. 70 crore respectively on Wednesday and Thursday, the movie has apparently earned between Rs. 35 crore and Rs. 36 crore in the theaters. There were fewer crowds for the morning and noon shows, however, by the evening, the theaters were full again.
Will ‘Pathan’ become 500 crores soon?
Khan’s comeback film Pathaan earned an estimated Rs. 100 crore on its release day and crossed the Rs. 200 crore mark on Thursday and Rs. 300 crore mark on Friday, respectively. Trade analysts are optimistic that it will earn another Rs. 100 crore this weekend. According to trade analyst Atul Mohan, the film is expected to earn Rs. 40 crore and Rs. 50 crore on Saturday and Sunday.
‘Pathan’ beats ‘KGF 2’ collection
In terms of domestic collections, Pathaan is estimated to be around Rs. 158-159 crore. With its historic run in theaters, the SRK starrer has already reportedly broken Yash’s KGF 2’s collection record of Rs. 140.5 crore (nett) on its first weekend. Pathaan, on the other hand, has been able to achieve a staggering amount over the course of the week, while most other films have been able to generate their revenue over the weekend (Saturdays and Sundays).
The history behind ‘Pathaan’
A return to the silver screen after a four-year hiatus was marked by Khan’s return to the silver screen in Pathaan, directed by Siddharth Anand. Khan’s first release since the COVID-19 pandemic is also Pathaan, directed by Siddharth Anand. There is no doubt that this film is a great combination of Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham as well as Dimple Kapadia and Ashutosh Rana as supporting characters. Salman Khan also has an interesting cameo appearance in the film.
