Everyone is aware of actor Freddy Daruwala’s passion for cricket. The Holiday star recently posted photos of himself wearing the Indian Blue Jersey alongside Pakistani cricketers on his social media.
After being contacted, the actor said that he had participated in the India VS Pakistan Celebrity Cricket Tournament, which was held in the US. Six Indian celebrities and five Americans of Indian descent played three matches against six Pakistani celebrities and five Americans of Pakistani descent.
The matches were held at Edison, New Jersey; Dallas; and Houston. India prevailed 2-1 to claim the title. The actor expressed extreme happiness and gratitude for the opportunity to compete in this tournament. The competition was, he continued, “full of harmony, respect, love, and still true to the spirit of cricket!”
“Until we hit the pitch, everything was extremely smooth and cordial,” said Freddy. On the pitch, we had an intense competitive spirit and a win-at-all-costs attitude. Close and thrilling contests were played. For us to unify via friendship and harmony, the actor says that we need more interesting competitions worldwide. There was a sizable crowd in each city to support the teams, followed by a ceremonial meet and greet with the supporters in the evening. For 12 days, the entire family socialised, travelled, and partied together.
Sharad Kelkar, Freddy Daruwala, Sameer Kochhar, Manav Gohil, and Balraj Sayal all represented India at the event. The actor ends by saying, “It was my dream to represent India as a cricketer in an international scenario, and that finally came true!”
Well, what else can we say other than that Dreams Do Come True.
