Rio Kapadia, a 66-year-old actor, died on Thursday after a protracted fight with cancer. On September 15, at Shiv Dham Shamshan Bhumi in Goregaon, the actor’s cremation will be performed.
Rio Kapadia gained popularity for his roles in the films Chak De India, in which he played a commentator, Happy New Year, Khuda Hafiz, and Dil Chahta Hai. He last appeared as Mrunal Thakur’s father in Season 2 of the Amazon Prime Video series Made in Heaven.
A well-known face on television, Rio appeared in several popular TV series, including Kutumb, Judwa Raja, Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke, and Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.
