The phenomenal popularity of BB OTT 2 has now compelled the show’s makers to begin planning for the 17th season.
With 17 participants, from social media sensations to Bollywood celebs, Bigg Boss 17 will premiere on October 15. The contentious program will have a singles vs couples theme and be hosted by Salman Khan. Given that the confirmed list of competitors was released on Wednesday, the wait is finally over.

But no formal announcement has been made on the confirmed list.
‘Dhamaka’ on Bigg Boss 17 was promised in a new promo released by Colors TV last week. The actor says, “Arey ye bhi koi bomb hai,” in Hindi in the advertisement. “Isse bhi Explosive sadasya aayenge”. He continues by making a wide cut, which causes an explosion. He continues by saying, “Aag se khilayenge, dhamaka karayenge, dil dimaag aur dum ka hoga ye game but ye game nahi hoga sabke liye same to same.”
Speaking of Bigg Boss OTT 2, the season 2 finale was live-watched by 23 million viewers. After the voting lines were open for 15 minutes, 250 million ballots were cast. “The kind of numbers it has delivered this time, the kind of viewing is just astounding. This appears to have been one of the greatest events in the entertainment industry worldwide, and by far the biggest in India”, according to a senior JioCinema executive who spoke with Variety.
