Ayushman Khurrana to Play in Sourav Ganguly biopic, Shooting Starts in December

According to a recent report, Ayushman Khurrana is set to start his film’s shoot based on the life of famous cricketer Sourav Ganguly. Earlier, Ranbir Kapoor was also considered for the role, but now, apparently, it’s been finalized, and Ayushman is the one playing it. It’s also said that before that, the actor will also have to undergo extensive training starting next month to learn about Ganguly’s life on the field.

The Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly, himself announced his biopic, and his fans and audience worldwide as well as the media cannot wait to know more about the movie. Since Ayushman too, is a left-handed batsman like Ganguly, the producers have confidence in him that he can very well portray the cricketer’s on-field.

According to a source, “Ayushmann will begin training next month in Mumbai. He will have over two months to prep for the role before the project goes on floors in December.”

Although it’s not decided yet, whether the film will be shot in Mumbai or Sourav Ganguly’s native city Kolkata, it’s said that Ganguly is very much involved in the film and has even met Ayushman in person.

The film’s name and release date haven’t been released yet, it is scheduled to start filming in December, will be directed by Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth.
