After India, Rotterdam and Sydney, Zee Studios ‘Joram’ is all set to win hearts at the Durban International Film Festival!

Zee Studios presents their upcoming film, ‘JORAM,’ directed by Devashish Makhija and featuring acclaimed actors Manoj Bajpayee and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub. This thrilling masterpiece recently received immense praise at the 52nd International Film Festival Rotterdam and has been officially selected for the prestigious Durban International Film Festival.

‘JORAM’ is a collaborative production between Zee Studios and Makhijafilm, an independent production house co-owned by Devashish Makhija and curator-producer Anupama Bose. The film will be showcased in Sydney this month, followed by its screening in Durban.

Shariq Patel, the Chief Business Officer of Zee Studios, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “‘JORAM’ showcases the evolution of Indian storytelling by one of India’s most formidable talents, Devashish Makhija. ‘JORAM’ is a thought-provoking psychological thriller that follows the journey of a hunted displaced man who is desperate to protect his daughter. The film sheds light on social inequalities, injustice faced by tribal communities, deforestation, and more. Alongside Manoj Bajpayee and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, the film features outstanding performances by Smita Tambe and Megha Mathur in pivotal roles. Additionally, Tannishtha Chatterjee and Rajshri Deshpande make special appearances. Having already graced two international film festivals, ‘JORAM’ will now compete at both the Durban International Film Festival and the Sydney Film Festival. The film was also part of the FBR section of the Viewing Room at NFDC’s Film Bazaar in 2022.
