To stun the masses: Poonam Pandey’s revelation following the “death” post.

Amid widespread reports of her alleged demise and swirling speculations hinting at a potential publicity stunt, Poonam Pandey, well-known for her involvement in ‘Lock Upp,’ set the record straight on Saturday. She revealed that she orchestrated her reported death and is, indeed, alive and in good health. Sharing a video on Instagram, she stated, “I feel compelled to share something significant with you all – I am here, alive. Cervical Cancer didn’t claim me.”

Pandey further elaborated that her staged death was a deliberate effort to raise awareness about cervical cancer. In a subsequent Instagram message, she lamented, “But tragically, it has claimed the lives of thousands of women who lacked knowledge on how to combat this disease. Unlike some other cancers, Cervical Cancer is entirely preventable. The key lies in the HPV vaccine and early detection tests.”

Emphasizing the critical need to spread awareness, she urged everyone to be informed about preventive measures, stating, “Let’s empower one another with critical awareness and ensure every woman is informed about the steps to take.”

In a personalized Instagram video, Pandey clarified, “I am alive. I didn’t succumb to cervical cancer.” She acknowledged the unfortunate loss of lives to cervical cancer and underscored the preventable nature of the disease through timely tests and the HPV vaccine.

The controversy originated with a post on Pandey’s official Instagram account on Friday, suggesting her demise due to cervical cancer. Her media manager also confirmed the news. However, in a subsequent video, Pandey apologized for disseminating false information and explained that her intention was to bring attention to the importance of discussing cervical cancer.

The unexpected turn of events has reverberated shockwaves across the industry.
