Trailer Review- ‘Napoleon’, Joaquin Phoenix as Napoleon Bonaparte in Upcoming Release

The trailer starring Joaquin Phoenix as French ruler Napoleon Bonaparte is out already, and the movie promises to showcase an insight of Napoleon’s life, along with giving the best cinematic experience to the audience.

The trailer starts off stating, “Long live the warrior, emperor, general, genius, rebel, tyrant- Napoleon”. Then it first showcases Napoleon as a general, and goes on showcasing his life events which ultimately made him crown himself as the king, meanwhile also covering his distinctive relationship with wife Joséphine. The dialogues in the film, if we go by the trailer seem to be very powerful and to the point, portraying the emperor as he actually would have been, some being- “I follow the footsteps of Alexander the Great and Caesar”, “I will win by fire, I am destined for greatness” and “I found the crown of France in the gutter, and place it atop my own head”.

‘Napoleon’, directed by the very acclaimed Ridley Scott, and portrayed by the Academy Award winner Joaquin Phoenix, is set to release in theatres on 24 November, 2023, both in English and Hindi.
