Karan Johar has collaborated once more with Pritam and Arijit Singh after the smash hit music of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Tum Kya Mile, which was dropped on Saregama Music’s YouTube channel, perfectly encapsulates love and the charismatic on-screen chemistry between Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt.
With the soul-stirring lyrics written by Amitabh Bhattacharya and the hypnotic vocal skills of Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal, this love tune elicits a range of feelings. Because Pritam Dada, Amitabh, and I were so anxious about how the song would turn out, I recall that we kept the Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani love song recording to the very end. Dada thinks it’s really lucky for him because we constantly meet at our Bandra office. The melody of Tum Kya Mile was all he played for us during one of our sessions, and it immediately struck a chord with me. I adore the way Amitabh used the word “Phagun” in his writing. I sincerely hope that Tum Kya Mile makes the same kind of lovely connection with listeners as many of our love songs since it is truly a piece of our collective hearts.
