The critically acclaimed black comedy thriller ‘Lord Curzon Ki Haveli’ (Lord Curzon’s Manor), starring Arjun Mathur, Rasika Dugal, Paresh Pahuja, Zoha Rahman, and Tanmay Dhaninia, will make its world premiere as the festival’s ‘Centrepiece Spotlight Film’ (Official Selection – Out Of Competition) at the prestigious IFFM 2023, Australia.
The film is the first mainstream Indian feature film to be shot on a single lens and was written by award-winning Bikas Mishra. It is a startling tale about the Asian diaspora in the UK. The movie is being marketed as a distinctive new-generation cinema experience for people around the world. It was shot in the UK last year. Lord Curzon Ki Haveli, in the opinion of Paolo Bertolin, a member of the Venice International Film Festival’s selection committee, is a cinematic work that wanders over identity & gender in a very current way, inside the framework of an engaging mystery.

Anshuman joins the elite group of Indian Actor-Filmmakers like Kangana Ranaut and Farhan Akhtar who are simultaneously seen in both capacities as leading actors & filmmakers. Anshuman has openly discussed being inspired by multifaceted international artists like Bradley Cooper, Ben Affleck, etc.
Anshuman says “I am ecstatic to be presenting ‘Lord Curzon Ki Haveli’ at the Indian Film Festival Of Melbourne 2023. I’d want to express my gratitude to the IFFM 2023 jury for selecting us as the ‘Centrepiece Spotlight’ And I’m grateful to my cast and crew, as well as Golden Ratio Films, for their trust and support throughout this difficult but remarkable journey. We are thrilled to begin the film’s festival run in Australia, and I hope the audience appreciates this cinematic adventure. “I hope Mr. Alfred Hitchcock is watching over us from above since this is my tribute to him.”

Rasika added, “I am thrilled that our picture will be opening at the Indian Picture Festival of Melbourne, which always boasts a discriminating audience with a thirst for fun! It was a pleasure to work with and play off my co-actors, who allowed me to experience Ira in a unique manner – a woman who navigates and negotiates patriarchy with an undeniable personality and a sense of humor. I hope the film strikes a chord with the viewers.”
Produced by Golden Ratio Films and First Ray Films, it will have its UK Premiere, American Premiere, and Indian Premiere before worldwide distribution this winter.
