Zareen Khan, a Bollywood actress, has been issued an arrest warrant by a Kolkata court in connection with a cheating case dating back to 2018.
The actor was charged in the judgment by the Sealdah Court, a subordinate court, for collecting 12.5 lakhs from an event management business for opening six communal Kali Puja pandals in Kolkata but broke the agreement.
Zareen Khan hasn’t appeared in court or requested bail, either. According to India Today, the court felt obligated to issue the arrest order because of her frequent absences.
The claims, according to Zareen Khan, are false. “I’m sure there is no truth to this. I’m surprised too and am checking with my lawyer. Only then will I be able to give you some clarity,” India Today quoted the actor as saying.
Zareen Khan, who made her Bollywood debut in ‘Veer’ with Salman Khan, has starred in several movies in a variety of languages, including ‘Housefull 2’ and ‘1921’.Her most recent film role was in the 2021 film ‘Hum Bhi Akele Tum Bhi Akele’ by Harish Vyas.
