Based on the graphic novel Ciudad, Sam Hargrave and Joe Russo’s Extraction 2 is an American action thriller film that was released in 2023.
Tyler Rake is once again beautifully portrayed by Chris Hemsworth in the film, which begins where the first chapter left off. After recovering from his previous assignment, Tyler retires from mercenary service and moves into a cabin in Austria. However, with his unbreakable attitude, he immediately jumps into another life-threatening mission, this time with the Underworld’s criminal organization.
The first 20 minutes of the movie were a little boring, but after that, there is some jaw-dropping action that will make you dare to even blink. The outstanding cinematography by Greg Baldi brilliantly captures every detail and intensity of the numerous settings. With the non-stop fighting scene, director Sam Hargrave, a former stunt supervisor, showcases his talent. With its never-ending amusement and excitement, the movie hardly rests for breath as it elevates itself to a whole new level.
Chris Hemsworth’s portrayal of Tyler Rake is as excellent as ever, and the supporting ensemble, which includes Golshifteh Farahani, Adam Bessa, Olga Kurylenko, Daniel Bernhardt, Tinatin Dalakishvili, and Idris Elba, also stands out in these exhilarating new editions with their stellar performances.
