After taking a sabbatical from social media, Isabella Khairiah Hadid, popularly known by her stage name ‘Bella Hadid’, has returned.

On Tuesday, the 26-year-old American model updated her Instagram followers about her current situation. “I’m thrilled that our newest @kineuphorics potion Actual Sunshine is now available at @sprouts just in time for Dry July!” I’m really proud of anyone who has persevered through a dry July. I’m almost 10 months alcohol-free thanks to Kin and a lot of self-love!”
The news comes after ET exclusively revealed that the model was not in rehab, as had been previously claimed, but was instead receiving regular treatment for Lyme disease. A source reported to ET “Bella Hadid receives daily treatment for Lyme illness. Bella stopped drinking nine months ago after making the decision to do so. She has been drug- and alcohol-free for nine months and has never had a problem. Rehab is not where Bella is”.
In September 2021, Hadid joined Kin as a co-founder and partner after discovering that it relieved her anxiety, Lyme disease’s brain fog, and burnout from nonstop work and travel. The brand of botanical-infused, alcohol-free seltzer makes the claim that it fosters creativity and attention.

“I don’t feel the need [to drink (alcohol) because I know how it will affect me at 3 in the morning when I wake up with horrible anxiety thinking about that one thing I said five years ago when I graduated high school,” said Hadid in an interview with InStyle. “There’s just this never-ending effect of, essentially, you know, pain and stress over those few drinks that didn’t really do much, you know?”
She explained to W magazine that alcohol does not agree with her physique. “We work a lot in the fashion business. Thus, we believe that we may play a lot at night and then resume our activities when we wake up and I came to the conclusion that it was not a life I could sustain”.
