1950s decadent diva Meena Kumari was born in 1933 into a working-class Parsee theatrical family of Ali Bux and actor-dancer Prabhavati Devi and died at the age of 38 from liver cirrhosis.
She was 6 when hired for Leatherface in 1939 by Vijay Bhatt and named baby Meena later she became Meena Kumari when cast for Bhatt’s ‘Bhaiju Bawara(1952)’.She appeared in 90 films, leaving her impact on the Hindi film industry with her heart-melting expression and great performance.
