Suniel Shetty recently revealed in an interview that he didn’t want both his children, Ahan and Athiya to study in an Indian school. Rather he wanted them to attend an American school so that they could experience a normal life at least as kids.
Star kids often have to face a lot of unwanted attention both from the fans of their parents as well as the paparazzi. It sometimes becomes difficult for them in such situations. Therefore he didn’t want them to go through all of that and sent them to America so that they could lead an ordinary school life.
He stated, “I made sure that I did not send my kids to an Indian school, but (to the one which) was headed by an American board and had faculty that was American because I did not want anybody to treat them either special, as a celebrity kid or pan them for whose children they are.”
Even back then he did not know whether his kids wanted to pursue acting so he even put Athiya to college outside of India. But she made a last minute decision to enter into the film world and make a name for herself.
She made her debut in 2015 with ‘Hero’ opposite Sooraj Pancholi and Ahan made his debut with ‘Tadap’ opposite Tara Sutaria. However, both the young stars are yet to make it big in the film industry.
