The movie Tiku weds Sheru which got released today which shows an aspiring actress, Tiku (Avneet Kaur) who somehow wanted to come from Bhopal to Mumbai to pursue her dreams. To make that happen, she even marries a much older guy, Sheru (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) and gets a setback when she finds out that she’s pregnant, but not with Sheru’s child. Rest of the movie covers the two of them adjusting with each other, falling in love, making their life meaningful, making their dreams come true and a lot more.
Although Avneet’s acting was on point and worthy of a lot of appreciation, she played the role of a mother at just 21! Nawaz’s character on the other hand was well presented, yet he couldn’t manage to look like Avneet’s husband which was of course, because of the age gap between the actors, on which they are even getting trolled. All the other actors did amazing, the roles fitted them quite perfectly.
Apart from the love story, the movie shows casting couch, a woman getting exploited and then cheated and of course, the struggles of an outsider and how talented artists are treated. The direction of the film was excellent and the songs were impressive too.
Since the movie had to cover so much, it went on stretching out a little bit, but the fun part was to decide whether or not Tiku would end up with Sheru well or not? Overall, the movie was entertaining and a one-time watch.
