Shahid Kapoor, one of Bollywood’s most talented, handsome and loved actors was always rumoured that he didn’t have a good relationship with his father. He revealed that he didn’t want to disclose his identity as the son of Pankaj Kapur when he entered the film industry because of his traumatic past with him and he also wanted to stay closer to his mother Neelima Azeem who was living a tough life after her divorce from Pankaj.
But recently, this father-son relationship has shown a lot of improvement as they started to meet and work together. Both have been co-cast in Mausam and Jersey.
As things are better, Pankaj Kapur shared his thoughts about his son, stating, “I might have done a week’s workshop many years back with Shahid but he’s an actor of his own caliber. He’s a very talented, forthright, honest, and hardworking young man. I had said 15 years back, that his strength lies in dramatic roles, which I think the producers and directors have heard now after almost 10 years. And lately, the kind of work that he has done, in the last 7-8 years is hugely commendable. He’s proving his mettle as an actor, time and again. I’m very proud as a father and as a co-actor.”
